Action: Recognizing Our First Responders
BVWNA has been asked to join with other neighborhood associations, in a Holiday Appreciation for Police, Fire, and Code:
2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone, and especially our first responders. Some of our neighborhoods have traditionally provided various gifts of appreciation to these services at the holiday season. This year has been unlike any other, and we would like to see if our neighborhoods would be willing to work together to raise money to provide small gift cards to the police, fire fighters, and code officers who serve our neighborhoods. We would divide the amount of money raised by the number of people to appreciate and purchase small gift cards from local merchants. Each service will receive all of the gift cards and thank you/holiday cards for their members and manage distribution internally.
BVWNA Board has approved donating $200.00 from the budget for gift cards.
And this is where you can help……….
The residents, especially children, can complete thank you or holiday cards for these city workers. Drawings would be great as well. Just sign the notes or cards from Bentley Village-Waterchase Neighborhood Association. Please drop your cards off at 833 Woodridge by December 11. Thank you for helping make this rough year a little brighter for Police, Fire and Code employees. Ann Salyer-Caldwell
President, BVWNA
